Ch. Gropetti Moses E
CGC TDI was our first
mastiff. He will forever hold a special place in our family. He was bought
as a pet. Under the urging of Patty Groppetti, Moses started his show
career at 9 months of age. After finishing at 15 months, he began his specials
career and went on from #8 in 1996 to #5 in 1997 and finally to #3 in 1998.
Moses was a multi group winner, and had many breed wins including an award of
merit at the 1998 MCOA National Specialty. He was the ultimate show dog,
who loved the show ring, winning Group placements and Breeds with over 25
different handlers. Moses even won the Veteran Sweepstakes at the
Connecticut River Working Group Show with his owner on lead. Moses was also a
Bermuda Champion. His one and
only breeding produced BIS BISS Golem Moses George E. We have frozen semen
from Moses and intend to use it in future breeding.
Ch. Gropetti Gar Hannah E, our foundation
bitch was the finest example of a mastiff bitch that I and many mastiff breeders
have ever seen. At 34 inches and 235 lbs., She was larger than many of the top
males that she defeated in her show career. She won many Group Placements
and Breeds and was always more comfortable in the show ring with Roberta on the
lead. Her first and only litter, produced George and our wonderful Ch.
